our story
the atmosphere of the past with the luxury of today
Welcome to our farm. We are Jenne and Ingrid and since 2012 we have been the proud owners of the Erve Volkerink farm. The farm is a national heritage monument and is located in the protected villagescape of the beautiful hamlet of Beerze in Overijssel. The farm has a history that goes back centuries: people were talking about Erve Volkerink as early as 1513. In recent years we have thoroughly renovated the farm, resulting in a beautiful Bed & Breakfast.
In addition, a few years ago we planted an orchard with old Dutch fruit trees. Old varieties of apples, pears and plums have already given their first harvests. In the orchard are little sheep and aroud the farm there are chicken and cats.

Would you like to curl up in the box bed and have breakfast in the old kitchen or in the orchard? The old front house exudes the atmosphere of times gone by, but also has the (hidden) luxury of today; including a spacious box bed, underfloor heating, a spacious private bathroom and an authentic living room. ​
It is easy to relax in our bed and breakfast, but there is also plenty to do. Set off to the nearby Hanseatic cities or discover the varied nature of the Vechtdal. Within a kilometer of the property you will find river landscape, old ash soil, drifting dunes, forest, heath, raised bogs and fens.

enjoy the national heritage site
There is a rest point on the property where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea when the weather is nice. Pour yourself a drink and grab a (homemade) cookie, sit back and completely relax in the monumental village center of Beerze. Enjoy the special tours that pass by or listen to the silence.
All in all, plenty to do in and around the yard. We hope you will visit us soon to enjoy this rural life too!
